The Jeep Hurricane with Ultimate Terrain Traction is capable of traveling though grass, dirt, gravel, shallow mud and water puddles. Featuring a 12 Volt battery, the riding toy is able to tackle these types of terrains with ease. The included 12 V battery recharges easily overnight and allows for hours of use. A battery charge indication will allow you to easily see how much longer the Jeep Hurricane will operate before needing a recharge.
The Jeep Hurricane comes with a two-speed forward drive system. For beginners and smaller children the Jeep can be set to a 2.5 MPH maximum speed. Once they learn the responsibilities of driving and are ready for a higher speed, a small lockout screw can be removed to all the Jeep to travel up to 5 MPH. The Hurricane also offers a low speed reverse to allow your child to back up. Forward and reverse driving skills can be used to help teach your kids basic driving skills and improve coordination. Knowing that the Hurricane can travel forwards and backwards, the question most parents ask is "How do they stop?". The Jeep Hurricane features a patented brake system that will stop the vehicle anytime your child lifts his foot from the pedal. This safety feature not only allows your child to stop quickly, but also makes sure that when he exits the vehicle that it will stop properly.
Not only does the Jeep Hurricane offer the ultimate off-road terrain experience, it also has many features that rival real vehicles! A real FM radio is included to let your child be able to listen to music as he drives. A simulated GPS navigation system is included that your child can pretend to use if he gets "lost" in the back yard. The Jeep Hurricane sports an adjustable seat that sits two children; one can drive while the other works the FM radio or "navigates" with the GPS system. An interactive dash will cause directional lights to illuminate as your child turns, drives, brakes or shifts into reverse. A cup holder is also included to round out the features.
The Power Wheels Jeep Hurricane is recommended for children ages 3 and up and weigh less than 80 pounds.

Doesn't get stuck

My neighborhood has lots of streams and many of the kids have riding toys. Since my son is younger I got a chance to watch all the other dads push the riding toys when the other kids got stuck. I bought this jeep a few months ago and my son hasn't gotten stuck yet. I like to laugh at the other dads when they have to push their kids out of the mud when they get dirty pushing the toys. The larger tires on this jeep really help out because the other riding toys aren't as smooth through the grass.
